Have you thought of having a choir to sing at your Wedding, Christmas party or Conference?
WEDDINGS:
The Geelong Chorale can arrange a small mixed choir to sing at both church
and civil weddings in the Geelong and Surf Coast areas. These choirs
usually consist of 12-15 experienced singers.
At Church weddings, the choir can

lead the hymn singing making it easier for your guests to join in, |

sing an anthem or other music during the ceremony especially while you are signing the register |
At Civil weddings, the arrangements are flexible. They will depend on what you would like and where you are having the ceremony. We can sing traditional or modern songs before, during or after the ceremony, whatever suits you. We can sing a capella or with our portable piano. Some recent beautiful weddings we have sung at were at Cosy Corner beach, Torquay and Spray Farm on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Our Repertoire includes church anthems or hymns such as “Ave Verum” by Mozart and “Love Divine All Loves Excelling”. Our civil repertoire includes “Only You”(version sung by Yazoo and Alison Moyet), “Wedding Song” by Malcolm John, “It Had to Be You” by Gus Kahn and “When I Fall in Love” by Edward Heyma. Or, if there is a piece that is special to you, we can perform that too.
A fee is charged depending on the number of songs to be sung and whether the chosen songs are in our repertoire. It starts at $500 for 8-12 singers with or without portable piano accompaniment.
CHRISTMAS AND CONFERENCE: The Geelong Chorale can provide high quality musical entertainment for private or corporate Christmas parties or conferences.
Songs sung at the Inner Wheel National Conference included “Ride the Chariot”, “I Bought Me a Cat” and “Waltzing Matilda”.
Our Christmas repertoire includes “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, “O Come all ye Faithful”, “Jingle Bells”, “Christ was Born on Christmas Day”, and “We Wish you a Merry Christmas”.
Our fee starts at $400 depending on the number of songs/carols, number of singers and length of performance.
CHARITY AND COMMUNITY EVENTS: We regularly sing for charity and other community events, such as the Pako Festa, the Torquay ANZAC Dawn Service, “Raising the Roof” concert for St. Paul’s Anglican Church for their roof restoration fund and “Anne’s Clan” gathering.
